Inquiry: The concept of time and how it's warped and viewed from different perspectives.
My inquiry has developed from playing with how emotions and perspective affect our outlook and quality of life. In my first piece focusing on anxiety and the movement, distortion, I realized that time was something I feel strongly about and would like to explore and convey.
-
Include a clock or time-telling device in each piece
-
Emphasize it's not how much time you have, but rather what you do with it
This work is focused on the anxious aspect of time where everything is rushed and distorted, I used monochrome black and white for everything except the clock and to help portray light to make it stand out.
Women wanting youth, child wanting to grow up.
This work is focused on a feeling many people can relate to. As a child we look up to adults and getting older but when we get older we miss our youth and childhood. The materials for this are charcoal and the subject matter a women looking into her reflection in a vanity longingly with the child looking back up at the woman.
